Gender parity in educational curriculum ..Where are we really headed?

The image is an exact reproduction of a question (screenshot shared to me ) in the examination paper for computer science of class 5th of a renowned school chain in India run by a premier organization . Now the framing of question and options therein itself left me so dumbfounded even to express rage. What is more bothering that I cannot blow the trumpet of gender bias here . Incidentally, I found out that the teacher who set the question paper was a female!

This question itself is a glaring testimony to how deep the patriarchal mindset has made its way even into the minds of educated women too . It also serves as a perfect example of the subtle ways our own educational curriculum ingrains such biases in young gullible minds. There has been a lot of hue and cry as to why the media always features women doing chores like cleaning /cooking and men driving cars. However we have been shockingly silent as to how our teachers and schoolbooks are faring at it in our daily classroom set ups.

I hope a rational mind would agree with me here when I write that the correct answer to the question above did not figure in the options-‘Dear teacher, it’s you.' .
